Through email? Since I don't know any emergency lines for law-enforcement off the top of my head it would probably take me longer to do that.

I remember a few years ago a guy posted a suicidal thread on here and TD was able to get police sent to his house. I wonder how that guy is doing now

It depends, but it would probably be the best option. It would be more of a risk to send an email to a police department. It could be an email that isn't checked often, etc.. But on here a lot more people would see it, but there is the risk no one would take the post serious..

NEED HELP: CAPTURED BY CARTEL PLEASE CONTACT AUTHORITIES.
Seriously, I need yall help. I was captured by a cartel. The room on side of the one they are keeping me in, has a computer. I was able to get in and use the computer to post this. This could be my only chance of being found. Please help me. I beg you.
The responses to the thread would be:
- Good. I hope you never post again.
- You need to be banned for this shitty thread.
- Well, just don't stand around and do nothing.
Then Darth will come in and post:
- I almost died in November.
