I was literally going to respond to him "My man NIH mocks these posts, but I have a number of union plumber clients doing better than a lot of dudes with college degrees."

Michigan State has this absurd degree for packaging engineering. But, you don't have to be typical math smart for it. Everyone I know who went through it does well. I should have gone to MSU, got that, and banged 8.5s.

Luckily most young people don't and it is declining. Don't need the competition

Tech, that's where the big money is, and you can work from home.

Social Media Management, and minor in Video Production and Photography

I know several college coeds who have been/are models who could make a billion dollars if they only realized how to capitalize on what they have. A couple of them have relatively tame Twitters/Instagrams, one with over a hundred thousand followers, but need to monetize.

I went to LSU, graduated with a 2.04 in History with minors in Sociology and Afr Am studies.
Took 6 years.

I’d do it all over in a heartbeat.

right. Honestly that attitude or whatever you want to call it is pretty insulting to blue collar workers.

Unless I wanted to be a doctor or lawyer or something similar, or had high level family connections that would guarantee a high paying job upon graduation, I’d take that 100 grand and open a skilled trade business instead. Those will be the last jobs automated, and will be in demand forever.

The ROI on college isn’t there anymore for most people in most majors.

It's a damn valuable skill in the operations world and one that isn't going away any time soon.

I got a mechanical engineering degree nearly 30 years ago and wouldn’t change a thing…it has treated me well. One thing I wish I had done was learn something about petroleum engineering, as I always found it interesting….perhaps a minor in it would have been good.
