Why live in Lakeview when you can live in Metairie and have the same exact experience? I dont get it either. Lakeview has no benefits of Orleans Parish living but has all the prices of it

But still, they have no kids and it's for one year. He has the rest of his life to live in Lakeview or Mandeville/Metairie

Mrs Rex 1 was crazy. She went off on Rex one time because he left the toilet seat up & on another occasion smashed her fingers in the car window, which caused her to scream, which scared Rex & caused him to hit the brakes while driving.. Crazy shite.

You seem like you'd fit in nicely around the 800 block of bourbon. That would be an excellent location.

I just disagree with living in Lakeview if I only had one year to pick a spot.

However, I will share my anecdote.

I live...

quote:

No need to worry about parking

I have a driveway and a spot in front of my house that 99% is for me.

quote:

a yard for grilling

Brick courtyard. Kind of lucked out with that.

quote:

a stone's throw from city park

Audubon park. But I do like City Park.

quote:

metairie

That's a plus???

quote:

midcity

I like midcity, I'm just on the other side of it.

from driveway to downtown is 10 minutes or less...no rush hour

Really? Jesuit to downtown was 10 minutes when I lived around there.

I agree and I live here. It is more of a place to settle down imo.

Think about it this way, how many times have you gone to Lakeview in the last year in your free time?

That answer is once for me, and it was to go to a friends house.

Can't think of one.

Since 2008 when I moved here, its definitely under 5 times.

The whole place is a shithole.

One shithole part of New Orleans isn't any better than another shithole part of New Orleans.

Exactly, because it isn't a very exciting place. It's a place to settle down, not to live if you only have one year here.

I'm agreeing with you, I just wanted to Op to see that exchange.

Past year? Four times, I think.

Twice to pick up Dong Phuong king cakes at Pizza Nola (technically West End, not Lakeview), once to meet some friends at Parlay's after kickball playoffs, and once to Parlay's to meet up with some friends who were in town and staying with family in Lakeview.

Why pay Orleans Parish prices to get the Metairie experience?
