Sounds like the OP is assuming everyone who demonstrated ended up in the Capitol. That isn't the case.

y'all realize this is a de-escalation tactic, right?
same for all the "why are the police not doing anything!" during the BLM riots
the idea is that if you fight them or try to hold them back, it will only spark more rage/emotion/violence/whatever, and if you let have some things, eventually they will burn themselves out
you minimize damage by letting them cause damage, anyone parent of a toddler or teenager has used this tactic to some degree
I realize that's not the fun conspiracy though, so carry on

I had my daughter with me and it was FREEZING that day so we went to the room to warm up a second. I started reading all these stories about the capital being breached so I texted some friends to see if they were ok and wtf was going on. She said she was at the capital with thousands of people and didn’t know what I was talking about.
I sent her screenshots of what they showing in the media and she said that is not happening. I am standing right here and none of us see this.
False flag for sure.

and then you probably had other cops that may have been sympathetic with them
