Boston is one of the places I'd be most interested in seeing. A lot of spots there I want to hit -- the Cheers bars, Fenway, the Freedom Trail.

Please let the board know if you plan a trip to Boston. Can give you a lot of places off the map that are worth seeing and are less of tourist traps (not really saying this for fenway of the FT, but definitely the Cheers bar)

Had a chance to go to the New Years celebration this year but decided not to. Too crowded and the people suck

with New Yorkers

They love their city and love to show it off. Very open and engaging people.

There's a reason NYC is classified (with only London) is a global A++ city while SF is a global A- city.

I'm a little surprised none of the cities on the Continent are A++.

You thing Houston is the goat, don't you?

The food is outstanding there. Like, literally the only place on par or better than New Orleans .in my opinion of course.

Thanks!!

I expect the two places to be tourist traps (from what I understand, the show was inspired by the Bull and Finch, and a second bar was opened later that was copied from the show). But I liked the show so it's still worth the visit.

It's always good to know places that are off the radar.

Food? No.

Actually, yes. It's really no contest in the great food diversity.

Traveled a lot as a kid, but my dad never wanted to go. I have been to upstate New York.

Hoping to go next year though.

People do criticize the methodology, but it's as good of an indicator as any. Paris is a A+ FWIW. I'd probably have Hong Kong and Tokyo (both A+) on there as well.

Food subar? Did you dumb rednecks go to Applebee's?

I'm guessing the idiots just walked up and down Times Square like the average retarded tourist and assumed the world's largest Fridays is about as good as a restaurant gets there.

If you aren't totally blown away the first time you cross a bridge into Manhattan, I don't know what to say.

I'll have to see it at some point. Wouldn't know otherwise.

But I can't see it being better than coming through the Fort Pitt Tunnel at night into downtown Pittsburgh. That is a truly awesome sight.

Is Disney too trashy for you Uptown folk?

I fully plan on taking my kids to Disney a couple times. We'll go on other vacations too but I honestly don't get the hate on here for Disney if you go during the off season.

Bostonians and the people in Philly--especially Eagles fans--are terrible. I've never had any issues with New Yorkers and the ones I've met are fairly friendly for Yankees.

Fully agree. I haven't been to Philly but I hated "Baston".

I was only in New York once, I enjoyed it, but would really like to go and meet up with people that really know the city.
