No Sir... That is actually twisting the wording around there.

8am is forward of 10am. Also 8am is in front of 10am.
I'd argue that we have twisted it for so long that we accept the illogical view.

Except when we spring forward we move it from 2am to 3am. We move it forward. You've got it backwards.

Clear as mud.

Is this meeting a Zoom meeting? Or am I gonna be forced to bring the donuts and bagels again?

Right.. Sort of... I think.. Heck I am not even sure anymore...

But in Springing forward... You move the clock in whatever direction you move it to make 10am; 9am...

But alas....

I will say this.... Daylight savings time. The two days a year that your employees show up late and they get away with it.

It's 2022... We have a person that is designated to tell us what the truth is... And their first order of business is to tell us that this is a woman and also the MINISTER OF HEALTH...

No, no you don’t. I mean you might do it that way , but everyone else moves the clock forward (adding one hour to it) during spring.

If you are not sure anymore then you have made more progress than the ones stuck on "back" means "more forward into the future".

Forward. We move the clock forward. We make what was 10am to be 11am.

I will repeat, "forward" should not be used in this context. We move an event "back", as in "further away", not as in "backwards". So "forward" is not the opposite here, it should be something along the lines of "toward" or "closer". Instead we say "up", probably because we are used to looking at a vertical agenda view.

To avoid confusion, our Indian colleagues have invented a word to remove the ambiguity.

Prepone - make meeting earlier
Postpone - make meeting later
