They have famine because we gave them modern medicine and technology, essentially cutting back ENORMOUSLY on child mortality, not to mention the 'Green Revolution'. Their ability to produce food is far behind their population curve, now why that is - I have a few ideas but they are probably not best discussed here.

I do, those damn Chinamen are buying up the mineral rights. Africa has the most natural wealth/resources of any place on the planet, I want to profit from it somehow.

Trying to claim rights to most parts of Africa sounds like a cluster frick. We're probably encouraging China to do this. Like the non-war version of bleeding our enemy dry a la Russia in Afghanistan.
