We talking Bezos money correct?

I would creat a giant social experiment.

I would have a Parish wide social media blackout zone.

Person to person texting and calling only.

Then I would personally fund police and fire for 5 years under the condition that no taxes be collected on any business with under 100 people.

I wonder.....

I'd nuke BR and let the fallout take care of New Orleans. Then, I'd pay to put some competent mayors in office and rebuild the cities from the ground up, starting with better infrastructure in BR. Can someone say loop?

I would do all I could to make South Louisiana (not NOLA) the next big boomtown. Bring in some kind of new industry like power grid infrastructure mfg, legit green energy initiatives. Get my people some jobs and security for the eventual end of fossil fuel cars. Then I’d run for governor and end the political corruption of Louisiana forever. No more Latoyas or Broomes. Time to take Louisiana from dead last up to Top 10 state.

I know much of his wealth is tied up in stocks, but it is crazy that one person could spend $400m a month beyond basic wealthy person living expenses and still never run out.

It has to be tempting to just retire and live a hedonistic life.

For me in BR area, I’d buy up the shite hole apartments in Tigerland and bulldoze them and make the area new and respectable again.

From NOLA but not living there.

I would give the entire city a bath.

Ellick?

Not a fricking thing.

I'd give large amounts of money to 2-3 people that had an influence on my life. Then I'd buy my mother a house near her grandchildren who reside in a West Houston suburb.

Then never go back there another day in my life. The 3 of my friends that still remain there would be given first class plane tickets to where I was located.

That town itself can go frick itself.

There’s an old bank that’s been converted into trashy apartments that I would buy and restore to its original glory.

Then I’d buy the property around it and develop a nice little commercial area.

I think the person who owns it may have originally had that idea, but I don’t think he’s motivated or has the capital necessary to get it done.

In Br I’d buy and close City park golf course. Create an outdoor amphitheater for concerts and such. Bring in major touring acts like never before .

Completely demolish/buyout Florida Blvd tenants and rebuild all new structures with post-2016 flood restrictions.

And any new businesses would have to be approved through a committee of 10.

I would restore businesses on Fourth Street Highway in Harvey and Marrero, and pay accomplished professionals to run them:

Bartolo's Hardware
Bertucci's Restaurant
Rhode's Drug Center
DeSalvo's Bar and Restaurant
DeSalvo's Bakery
Meyer's Department Store
Folse Pharmacy
Pepperone's Meat Market.

Definitely buy and destroy blighted properties and plant trees on them.

Create a homeless response team that would drive around, pick them up, and drop them off somewhere very far away.

Hire Chick Fil A to fix BR traffic.

Probably shovel cash into the local schools. Demolish some slums. Refurbish some old historic buildings. Maybe a speculative new housing development.

It wouldn't take Bezos like money but I'd like to build a mixed use 6-8 story building on 1st St in Gretna, preferably where you have quick access to Franklin Ave and then on to the CCC.

first floor would be mixed commercial, but would like to have a convenience store similar to the Poeyfarre Mart
then upper floors with apartments...and since I'm paying for it, I can make the rules about who can live there...set aside a couple for law enforcement and teachers...maybe a couple of handicapped for physically disabled veterans...
