Play golf.

I read about a guy in the 1990s who bought BMW touring bikes for him and his wife and rode from the Pacific coast of Asia to Europe. Always thought that sounded like a once in a lifetime experience, but I don't know about the safety of doing it now vs 1990s.

I don’t know your finances but $80k shouldn’t be play money unless you have $1,000,000 in the bank. It just seems dumb to blow that in a year.

I'd have to concur with this.

I don't know how old you are, but if you're fairly young, having $80k right now could pay much larger dividends in the future if you utilize it wisely.

For the sake of your future, at least save/invest half of it. I get the whole YOLO mindset, but there's a bright line that separates being adventurous and being foolish.

Put half on a land down payment, pay off the student loan with 1/4, buy a tractor, go to work on Monday like always.

PCT or AT hike would be awesome. Never hear of the boat loop, but looks cool. That one would be way more expensive than hiking though.

1. Spend 30-40k of it on a nice enough used land cruiser with as few miles on it as possible. Mod it out as much as I could in that budget.

2. Have it shipped to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska

3. Fly up there

4. Spend 12 months driving the Pan-American Highway
