Say that you have a way to travel back in time but you can't come back would you do it? I would but nothing drastic just 5 or 10 years ago so I could make certain investments or put huge bets on sportimg events like bif. What says the OT?

Eta: the only drawback to what i posted is you have to live your life from the age you are now starting on the time you go back to. So if you go back to 1990. You go back there as the age you are now not as the age you were then.

Why would anyone go back to a worse time, especially if we can't return, unless it's back to our early lives to correct our mistakes or do things like you mentioned and live them through again.

Regardless of what the media portrays, we are living in the best of times.

Eta - by a worse time, I mean 100 or so plus years ago. When day to day life was a lot more difficult. Sure, it'd be badass to actually see things first hand at certain periods throughout time, but we have it damn good right now.

Going back to an earlier time in our own lives to have a re-do at past mistakes is an obvious one. But if it was a completely different era in history, I'd either want to live among Native Americans (pre-European contact) or Imperial China

1980 so I could...

1. Relive the awesomeness of the 80's again.

2. Buy about $30,000 of Apple stock. Would be worth about 10 million today.

My guess is that if you went back in time, you'd carry a virus on you that had mutated since then, but that modern medicine had been able to stop. You go back, spread the mutated virus from the future and scientists from back then wouldn't have a cure. You'd kill off half the world's population and cause cataclysmic events to occur including killing off your own parents, making it impossible for you to even be back in the past since you disappear from the future, creating a rip in time and the whole universe comes apart.

This.

No way in hell I'm going back much more than that. Modern anesthesia is a wonderful thing.

Just prior to 1996.

In 96, apple's stock jumped like 300%. I would dump every conceivable amount of money I could find and get my hands on into that stock.

Then after spring of 96, so lots of cocaine and hookers.

I have no regrets

Are there things I wish I would have done differently. Yes. But at the same time I have got to experience a lot of things that I never would have had I made different choices, and I think I am in a good spot right now.

Pop Rouge died that month in a vehicle accident.

I could have warned him.
