would go back and change the mind of the first guy who thought importing cheap labor from Africa was a good idea....
Heck, the Arabs were deep in the African slave trades for centuries before the exploration of the western world

My point is that slavery was widespread in the pre-modern world and throughout cultures
The conquerors enslaved the conquered
Africans do not have a monopoly on slavery. Jewish and Asian slavery rivals, if not exceeds, the levels of African slave trade
I just don't think that it could have been stopped

2. Buy about $30,000 of Apple stock. Would be worth about 10 million today.
You're thinking too small.

I'd bring my 913 D2 back to the 1890's and beat Old Tom Morris' arse in front of his wife and kids.

Just prior to 1996. In 96, apple's stock jumped like 300%. I would dump every conceivable amount of money I could find and get my hands on into that stock. Then after spring of 96, so lots of cocaine and hookers.

I'd go back in time and stop the slave trade coming to America.

I would go back to election night to relive the hilarity. Then win one of the Powerball jackpots.

quote:I always think back to when I was a freshman. I came home for the weekend and my buddy down the street , who was still a H.S. senior, came by and asked if I wanted to go out. I declined because I was helping dad prepare a family dinner.
May 2011
Pop Rouge died that month in a vehicle accident.
I could have warned him.
Just as we were putting dishes away after dinner, a distraught friend knocked on the door, and she was crying profusely. My buddy had six people in his car, and he tried to race someone over a hill. When he topped the hill, he ran headfirst into a car coming the other direction at full speed, killing everyone in his car and the elderly couple in the other car.
I flipped out for weeks wondering had I been with him, would this have still happened and I'd have been killed or would I have been the change in circumstances that kept it from happening? It put me into therapy, I was so depressed over it. I always wondered, if I could go back, would it make a difference?

Go back more time and get him off nitrate preserved or smoked meats and buy him a colonic now and then.

November 12, 1955. Hill Valley is beautiful at that time and I could live well as a hard working white guy, make good investments as they come through and I could potentially save the clock tower.

My guess is that if you went back in time, you'd carry a virus on you that had mutated since then, but that modern medicine had been able to stop. You go back, spread the mutated virus from the future and scientists from back then wouldn't have a cure. You'd kill off half the world's population and cause cataclysmic events to occur including killing off your own parents, making it impossible for you to even be back in the past since you disappear from the future, creating a rip in time and the whole universe comes apart.
Yeah I would like to go back in time and do this. It'll be neat.
