If you could pick one non-projectile weapon to defend your home, what would it be..

You can't own a gun but the intruder can. What weapon would you choose, if you could be an absolute master of it, to protect your family?
Things that come to mind are tomahawk (personal choice)
Spear
Flail
Dagger
Sword
Bullwhip

I would think that the space limitations of fighting indoors would narrow down your weapon choices. Hard to swing a sword, a mace or nunchuks around in the hallway or if you get attacked while you're on the shitter. A combat knife would be my weapon of choice.
