I’m sure most of you have seen the Bill Murray comedy, Groundhog Day, that came out in the 90’s. For those who haven’t, it’s basically a movie where the main character (Bill Murray) plays a weatherman who re-lives the same day over and over again for a LONG time. We don’t know how long exactly, but it’s safe to say it’s at least a few years of the same day over and over again.

If you could pick a day in your past that you would want to be your own Groundhog Day, what would it be?

Would I get to live out the rest of my life accordingly after I’ve escaped the loop? Sign me up right now.

Im not sure which day fricked up my life the most

so I'll pick a good day

ended up getting a handy from a good Catholic girl in a hotel room with 2 Mormon dudes hiding under the covers of the other bed during the 84 GOP national convention in Dallas
after a day at 6 flags where I won a giant stuffed panda at the basketball arcade game

It would be with her, when she was healthy.

The last Christmas I had with all living and healthy family and grandparents. Those days were unmatched as a kid

When my wife and I were still dating, I had a rough day at work and I went to her house for dinner. She was cooking and dancing, just happy as hell I was there. I’d give anything that relive that day.

I dated this girl when I was about 25 and we went to the lake together. We swam, drank, listened to music and just genuinely enjoyed each others company…then we had the sex in the water during a pop up thunderstorm with lightning all around us after everyone else scattered. That…was a good day.

Any day I pick no matter how good would lead to depression. It’s one thing to if your memory is erased at the end of the day. But if not, I would eventually go crazy.

A particular day in the outskirts of Athlone, Ireland. I got rained in, and had a day long discussion about Americans and their peculiarities in a pub with an Irish woman. I'd do that kind of thing for the rest of my life.

Great grandmother turned 101. The 100th birthday was a blowout. But the 101st was just a handful of us in her house (which her daughter who is 99 and change still lives in today).
You had to holler for her to hear, but she could hear well enough to hold a conversation with. And she loved telling stories. And holy heck, did she have stories to tell. She was mostly healthy until a pretty rapid end due to pneumonia 9-10 months later.

My wedding day or the day my kids were born ( but that would need three groundhog days)

I couldn't relive my daughter grabbing my finger and forcing me out of the delivery room by dragging me with her to recovery. I think I can only cry that way once. Once is a laser etched memory.
