You mean like the banana slugs or the dirt bags?

Tigers was a nickname bestowed upon the warriors that Louisiana developed. Why go searching for a better nickname/mascot when you have an awesome one?

Also before the university of diversity and poop swastikas was let in we were the only true Tigers in the SEC. Auburn would rather be called War Eagle or the Plainsmen and who cares about everyone else.

Would have been cool to take 'ragin cajuns' before UL-douchebags took it.

Bengals have nothing to do with Louisiana though. I never saw a tiger wild in the swamp.

Ragin Cajuns would be awesome and better than a generic Tiger. I know people don't want to hear that but there's something cool about having a unique mascot, especially one related to your region or history.

Neither do tigers? or for other teams: Bulldogs, Thunder, Lakers, Titans, Eagles, Falcons, Cardinal(s). I could go on for days.

Bayou Bengals is just cool. Probably my favorite nickname

Here are the top 10 mascot name.
How many are specific tho their college or location?
Should they all change to be unique?
Should LSU have been named the alligators? OOPS?
How about the Nutrias?

14 Bulldogs
13 Tigers
11 Eagles
9 Wildcats
9 Bears
8 Panthers
5 Lions
5 Hawks
5 Cougars
5 Huskies
