The same reason redneck, coonass, and hillbilly can start a fight when used in the wrong context by the wrong person.

That being said, I do blame the music industry for many problems we are seeing in society. It hard to believe that Motown and r&b turned into the trash we have now.

It's about being bad word or not. Blacks treat it's a power thing over whites. But if you think a word has that much power over you, then you have no power.

I mean all it does is show lack of education and self respect. Who's gives a shite if you wanna say it, say it. If not don't. I'm not your mama. Otherwise take it up with the mods if you wanna type it here to your heart's content.

The truth is, all words are acceptable. If you let one group police language it gives them power over you.

If they can react to a word, which in its origin is a mere COLOR, with violence, well, that shows you something.

It’s roots are millennia old, in a dozen or more languages.

It’s current verboten form is simply a bastardization of the Spanish negro, in itself meaning “black”. A color.

If the word was truly offensive, it would not be uttered.

What it is, is a tool to cow and control those who are willing to let themselves be controlled.

If uttered by the ruling class of a certain party, it is called a nothing, justified and forgotten.

If someone that bucks the rule of that party, well, it’s an easy accusation to shut them down and destroy them. Doesn’t matter if it’s a quote. Doesn’t matter the context, it is offensive , that dreaded term.

Even worse, it’s an excuse for violence and abuse.

Piss off the wrong someone, they can attack you and just claim that you said “the word”. Evidence be damned, it excuses physical violence and financial ruin.

Sing a song you paid for, and it can be used against you.

Use a word that even sounds similar, with no lingual connection, and you’ll be attacked.

Truth is, the people using it as a weapon aren’t even really offended, they just know it has power, because we give it power.

So until we stop bowing down to lingual tyrants and appeasing and believing false accusations…it’s our own damn fault.

It was a simple question, drama queen.

And if a question is asked often, it should tell you something.

That it isn’t being sufficiently answered.

“Because we said so” is not an answer that flies, especially in the face of vastly different parameters.

It’s akin to a rule being made, and one team blatantly breaks it and flaunts it, with the other team is harshly and incongruently penalized for it.

Rules only work if equally applied, if equality is the reasoning.

Either we are equal or we aren’t.
