Good jobs that pay the bills and provide for retirement are what most look for.

Bunch of areas running into these issues. Just big growth in service industry and lacking in other careers.

It didn’t even get above 70 today.

Also everything south of 10 should be underwater now. Hasn’t happened. Maybe next year eh?

I hope he is just trolling, but who knows. Some are just that dumb.

I don’t know anybody who complains about a place they don’t live like people who left LA.

Coastal southern living with great fishing, hunting, food, and weather. If I’d moved to the Midwest I’d be nostalgic too.

Can only speak for myself, yes. I would go back. Even now part of me wants to go back and help right the ship. I love LA.

Moving out of LA 30 years ago, everytime I go back honestly I feel sad for my birth state.

It’s so beautiful and unique and will always be home, but it’s a shell of its former self

That’s one thing I don’t understand about the OT. It’s filled with people who left who have to constantly remind you how good their decision was.

LOL an entire demographic would have to change their attitude and approach for a couple of generations first. This isn't going to happen, and there is a political party whose existence depends on that demographic constantly failing.

This will NEVER happen. Louisiana is done. It can't be saved. I've accepted this reality and will leave as soon as my kids are done with college.

PS - I am partially to blame for this as I voted for it when I was younger.

It would take a LOT - I'm not sure it's feasible

While probably said with hyperbole, the labor force participation rate is legitimately 58%

Due to demographics, that number will continue to increase. As I stated above, there is a political party that has run LA for 95% of its existence that depends on this continuing.
