What's so important that you have to be at a gym to work out? Other than hanging out with a bunch of sweaty, semi-naked dudes?

If you have a gym membership, you're an idiot. There is no level of fitness you need to achieve that running, push-ups and situps can't give you. Save your money and your time.

Ok lanklet

Why would you spend money on food when you could keep licking the government boot?

Went to the gym this morning. Was told as I walked in that mask were mandatory starting today. Idk if that is a state mandate or what, but no way I can work out in a mask

For non gym people, they are looking for any excuse to not work out. People aren’t going to just buy a treadmill because the gym is closed

Closing gyms is overall a detriment to public health, regardless of your personal commitment to health.

Haha I bet your home gym is something similar to planet fitness. Not a power rack to be found .

They are grasping at straws. Do they have any data showing gyms are a problem? I've seen the same people in the gym since the re-open. Wouldn't folks be dropping like flies or gym ownership catch wind of their customers catching covid?

This is why folks push back on these shutdowns. They don't seem to be based on science. It's all a charade so the government looks like they are doing something.

This. For some reason lots of people believe governments must do something, anything, regardless of it’s actual impact.

the data shows gyms are not a problem. 26 cases from 3 breakouts since 7/1 per the LDH.

These mother frickers were giving out happy meals last week for people to come get tested. Do you really think they give a shite about the health benefits of gyms being open?

Now do large outdoor gatherings designed to speak truth to power. How many cases were traced back to those?

What is it with people trying to cancel things when something doesn’t go their desired way? I support businesses that I want to and you can do the same, but promoting to tank someone’s business when they aren’t at fault is not a moral thing to do and I don’t support your thoughts of calling for such.

Gyms are different because they have less incentive to pushback (if members stay on, money keeps rolling in).

It sucks for these businesses but at this rate, if they are in such dire need that they will close anyway with another shutdown then why are they going along with the shutdown?

Except that they stopped charging people when they were closed.
