If cancer were contagious, would we have a cure, or at least more vaccines?

Without a doubt.

If it were something that could be vaccinated against, it wouldn't be cancer.

You're basically asking, "if cancer were caused by a virus, would we have a cure/vaccine?" Sure we would. But it's not caused by a virus.

Define cure? There are over 100 different identified varieties of cancer. Most have treatments. But cancer, by definition, is abnormal cell growth or mutation which makes eradication highly unlikely.

Before people think this is too far fetched note that there is building evidence that Parkinson's and Alzheimer's could be transmitted.

I'm not sure the OP means his question as strictly contagious.

Cancer sux, but kids with it does even more. If I could just do anything I would put an end to sick kids. Just sad let them be.

Btw if any of yall need a reality check look into the little girl with uncurable cancer that got sworn in as a police officer the other week here in TX. If the reason she wants to be an officer doesnt make you tear up, you need to really check yourself. "To fight the bad guys in my body". Arghhhhh I got your back gurl.

Cancer isn’t one universal thing & can’t be treated with an all-encompassing method. Some cancers are caused by a contagious virus, and there is a vaccine to prevent (i.e. cervical cancer & HPV). But giving every person a shot of Gardasil won’t prevent all forms of cancer.

So I guess the answer to your question is yes. For cancers caused by transmittable viruses, there are more vaccines
