Police chief opens with asking for tips to continue coming in
Posted on 11/23/22 at 3:08 pm to bikerack
Rumors of the victims being tied and gagged are not accurate.
They can't find proof Kaylee had a stalker.
Still refusing to name everyone who talked to the 911 operator but they are not considered suspects.
State Police guy basically saying they won't sacrifice quality for speed. We talked to a lot of people and collected a lot of evidence. Keep the tips coming.

If Kaylee's bedroom was on the top floor, and especially if it was the bedroom with the deck, I wonder if she could spot some creepy Peeping Tom in the parking lot that was adjacent to the back of their property?
Might explain her frantic phone call attempts to her ex. She couldn't call the cops because the creeper wasn't doing anything technically illegal, but she might have wanted her ex to come over and keep her company in case the creeper escalated.
Just a wild speculation. But something to chew on.

This PC is a huge waste of time. I think they are just checking a box before they go celebrate Thanksgiving.

Yeah, they still don’t know shite. This is just a bunch of dick pulling.
I’ll pullback my prediction of the dead guy being responsible because it’s simply not possible but I just can’t believe that they are still this far from naming a suspect.

They are not willing to release why they think this was a targeted attack.

does anyone know the nature of the 10 phone calls the 2 girls made to the guy? Seems they may have been concerned about something going on outside?!

Without any of them connecting, the fact that the two people making the calls are dead means we can never know for sure.
But the fact that they occurred mere minutes before the murders and the fact that they were apparently so desperate to make contact that the other roommate made a few calls on her phone sure does make it seem suspiciously relevant.*
I initially thought they were just booty calls, but not so much anymore.
*And the fact that they were calls made by the only two roommates with clear vantage points of the back of the property from the room(s) their bodies were eventually found in.

A couple of things I noticed for sure.
1. Roommates are for sure cleared.
2. Food Truck guy for sure cleared.
3. Kaylee's ex that she called for sure cleared.
4. 911 caller(s) are cleared.
(Of course that is at this time I suppose)
5.* Madison's boyfriend NOT mentioned as cleared.
6. They won't be releasing 911 call as it's part of the investigation. Possibly because they mention things only them, the police, and killer would know... like the doors to rooms were locked etc. Or something that points them towards a certain individual.

7. They want evidence from the public (videos, etc)... but they want specific info.
Maybe they have someone in mind but feel they need more or as much evidence as possible to make sure they get a conviction.
8. Still think it's targeted, but won't say why as it's part of the investigation.

However, you'd still think if they had someone specific in mind they would have enough for at least an arrest by now. They can work on building the case for conviction over time.

The fact that two people called is interesting and frankly the fact that they called at all is interesting given people seem to do nothing but text (especially younger people). But you’d think they would have moved on and called someone else if they were worried and/or woken up the roommates

I don’t get why everyone is hung up on those calls when the guy has been cleared. The most logical explanation is that this potentially drunk college girl really wanted to talk to him. She thought he was ignoring her and asked her drunk friend next to her to call too. Don’t know how anyone who’s ever been around college girls would find that suspicious or uncommon at 230/3am after the bars.
If they saw something outside that worried them enough to call someone who wasn’t at the house 10+ times, would they not have simply called 911?
I think common sense explains that scenario easily.

Calling rather than texting and the frequency of the calls are not exactly abnormal if it was a series of booty call fueld by alcohol and a desperate need to rekindle their relationship.
But because it happened so close to the time of the murders (coroner estimates 3-4 as the time of death, and the final phone call was attempted at 2:52), and she get her roommate in on the action by having her call him for some reason, it really raises so alarms that they needed some help for some reason.
