No one understands why the university was allowed to tear down the house before the trial. I get that they wanted the house gone to prevent macabre tourism but the home’s layout was complicated and much better understood when seen in person.

That said, the prosecution is having a full, to-scale dollhouse being built where floors can be removed to show the home so it likely won’t be that big an issue.

And the text messages were wild. Imagine how terrifying that night was.

This is what kids do now. If cell phones had been a thing when I was in college, my roommates and I probably would have done that too. When I was in college, there were 3 of us living in a house together. It wasn't strange to have boyfriends arriving in the house in the middle of the night. One of my roommates dated a bouncer in a BR bar who would show up at our house in the middle of the night to stay with her. She would leave the front door unlocked for him. (Thinking about this now as an adult....well it was incredibly stupid for us to do that.)

So back then, if I had heard the door open and didn't know it was her boyfriend, instead of getting up and possibly confronting an intruder, if I had a cell phone a text message to her would have absolutely been my first choice.

Did anyone watch the recent dateline show on it?

I just read an article on it and didn’t watch it, but it had a video of the white car driving around the house that night/morning that I had not seen before. Seems like what was released before was farther away or maybe it’s was just poorer resolution version of the below. I am not sure where their house is. I first thought it was the one in video but windows don’t match.

At 3:30 a.m., a car that investigators believed to be a white Elantra was captured on a neighboring home’s security video. The footage, obtained by “Dateline,” shows the car going toward the King Road home, and circling past the block multiple times over the next half-hour. At 4:07 a.m., the white car drove by yet again, then didn’t come back into view until 4:20 a.m., when the video shows the vehicle speeding off.

It’s in that 13-minute time frame that prosecutors have said in a court filing they believe Goncalves, Mogen, Kernodle and Chapin were murdered, suffering multiple wounds by a large knife.

Just days before his arrest he took a selfie trying to copy a Ted Bundy look.

In the meantime, the search history on Kohberger’s phone would show more videos of Ted Bundy, the song “Criminal” by Britney Spears and additional selfies, including Kohberger wearing a black hoodie like how Bundy was dressed in a program viewed on YouTube.

Well that’s certainly unexpected.

Hoping this brings some sort of relief and/or closure for the victims’ families, but I was hoping he’d fry.

Was not expecting him to take a plea. Tho k this guy thought he was smart enough to get away with the killings. He thought he could plan and execute the “perfect crime” and it didn’t go a planned.

Was still expecting this to go to trial and it wasnt 100% foregone that he would be convicted. Wonder if he confessed to his family and they told him to take the deal……

Last week the judge said the defense could not use their alternate suspect theory since there were no DNA matches with the 4 people they planned on bringing up.

Why would they be upset? Dude will spend the rest of his life in prison and they don't have to relive this horrific crime again. Unless I'm missing something? Did they want the death penalty?

Death penalty was the only correct answer. The man deserves death for what he did.

Wonder why they offered a plea deal. Did prosecution think they couldn't get the DP?!

A slam dunk case and they offered a plea deal is why they are upset.

Bryan is getting exactly what he wants. He is a wannabe Bundy. He will get weirdo fans sending him love letters and he will revel in the fame he acquired.

A lot of work has gone into this case to not have a trial but that same work convinced him to take the plea deal. If the families wanted the death penalty then they wanted a trial too.

From what I'm reading, the Goncalves family was never informed that he was being offered a plea deal until after he took it.

Because he gets to continue to live?

Everyone should want him dead yesterday. Not tomorrow, not today, it should have happened already.
