quote:that is the exact contradiction that befuddled me. You are frozen in fear but yet brush it off and wait 7-8 hrs. To call law enforcement.
What I’m having a hard time digesting is the remark that “she stood in frozen shock phase,” which would seem to indicate that she had heightened suspicion that Eyebrows, to some degree or another, posed a threat. “Frozen shock phase” is very much not a normal reaction one would think. Yet no type of action in response that one might expect for all that time.
Granted, there may be some connecting tissue there LE hasn't put out or was intentionally left out of the probable cause warrant... but when we're talking contradictions in human behavior that is a textbook example.

I think they were trying to say she literally went into shock from that point on

There’s some big factors at play here.
All it takes is one juror to dissent and he doesn’t get the death penalty, even if found guilty of murder.
Idaho has 8 people on death row dating back to 1983 that haven’t been killed yet.
Regardless of state law, Idaho has been flooded by California transplants over the last several years that could make their way onto the jury.
I’d put the odds at BK getting executed at 25% or less, especially anytime in the next decade.

this is in quotation marks in the affidavit because this is the phrase that DM used to describe herself...it is not a clinical description...

Wtf does this have to do with anything? I’m convinced you’re trolling

Just a long shot theory while people are spitballing-not a belief or a prediction ; What about the ( admittedly a long shot) idea that Law enforcement / criminal profilers saw that he was monitoring the Reddit thread and set up an account and put that resemblance pic and the evidence on there to shock and mindfrick him into some reaction. That’s some Netflix crime drama stuff right there, lol. Definitely not likely, but would make a great story.
Also now learning that visual snow creates disassociation and other medically recognized brain problems and behavior, it seem that his defense will likely include some kind of mental/medical defense that is plausible. That could be his strongest shot at avoiding the death penalty.
Also. frick this POS BCK killer MFer.
Edit- lol the 23 k posts kills that first bit of tv speculation.

I can't explain Dylan's actions as things were going down, but I have a theory as to how the events later in the morning unfolded.
If you look at the layout of the second floor, you'll see that Dylan's room is opposite of Xana's separated by the living room. This floor also shares a bathroom same as the others. Now assuming she is like the rest of us, one of the first things she's going to do upon waking up is head to the bathroom. That means she has to walk to the hallway leading to Xana's room because that is where it is located.
In the affidavit on page 1, Officer Brett Payne states the following.
With this in mind it is very likely that Dylan was on her way to the bathroom when she saw Xana's body on the floor (just as officers saw it as they approached the room) and she panicked believing her to be unconscious or she simply didn't want to believe what she had seen. She starts calling out, maybe screaming/ yelling to the other roommates (which would be normal) but only the girl downstairs responds. Now they are both panicked because they've seen Xana and no one else in the house is responding. I think this where they call friends because what they've seen has terrified them to the point that they didn't want to be in the house. It's not until friends arrive who aren't in full on panic mode and can think rationally that the cops are called.

OFC Smith directed me down the hallway to the west bedroom on the second floor, which I later learned (through Xana's driver's license and other personal belongings found in the room) was Xana Kernodle's, hereafter "Kernodle" room. Just before this room there was a bathroom door on the south wall of the hallway. As I approached the room, I could see a body, later identified as Kernodle's, laying on the floor.

i think that all the bedroom doors were closed prior to the police arriving...the description in the affidavit is by CPL payne as he was shown around the house by one of the initial responding officers...

Not “could of”, you mean “could have” or “could’ve”.
I see this common grammatical error all the time. I just want to let you know.

not saying you're wrong. just curious where this is coming from. At this point the affidavit is the only official document we have. Everything else is speculation until it's official.

it's been stated that the dylan and/or bethany called someone who brought a ladder to the house to be able to see into a window because they had no access to the rooms...that's when they made the 911 call reporting "an unconscious person" that they saw in one of the rooms...

What do you suppose this means?
page 5 of the PCA, which reads "The combination of D.M.'s statements to law enforcement, reviews of forensic downloads of records from B.F. and D.M.'s phone, and video of a suspect video as described below leads investigators to believe the homicides occurred between 4:00 a.m. and 4:25 a.m."
If Dylan was asleep before it all started how was her phone useful in narrowing down the timeline? She must have made a call after he left? Or Bethany did? But they say BOTH phones narrowed down timeline.
maybe Dylan called or texted Kaylee to be quiet with the dog before he made his way downstairs?
And where does 4:25am come from? The ring camera was 4:17. And he’s seen in his car at 4:20 speeding away. so can we assume one of the girls called someone at 4:25?

Yeah DTL really caught their attention in Zachary when he was busted for hacking a young couple necking on lover’s lane (back side of a cemetery). Just random people, out of the dark of night gets after them with a machete. They survived, and somehow he ultimately served a mere 5 or so years. Dude was a nutjob with a lust for blood.
Not that this has anything to do with the Idaho killings, but I know one of the victims in this attack and DTL was never arrested or served time for it. Years after the attack one of the victims recognized DTL as the attacker but the statute of limitations was up so no arrest could be made, at least that's what the victim I know said. DTL was arrested as the serial killer not that long after the victim I know identified him as the attacker.

That was never reported, it was a rumor.
Are you another poster commenting in the thread without actually reading the affidavit?

I don't know if you know this but after the attacks they were sorta dead. Hard to dial 911 in that state.
