I'd rather have a root canal than weed flower beds

Mrs Antiquetiger and I have an agreement, she does inside chores and I do outside chores. There is one I told her I won't do, weed flowerbeds.
I told her I'd build her any flowerbeds she wants, but she has to keep them up. I will do the semi-annual trimming of the hedges, etc.
Anyone here the same way, hate flowerbeds?

If you pick them as they sprout up it's not so bad. I walk by mine everyday and if there's a weed I snatch it then.

Weeding sucks. Getting down on all fours and pulling out the little suckers one by one is terrible

Weeding does suck.....
....but I've broken my nose twice, 2 fingers, both hips and my ankle and still the most painful thing I've ever experienced was a root canal.

There's nothing worse than an infestation of nutsedge. That is what I'm dealing with in my beds right now. I can't get rid of that shite at all. I'm getting to the point of hiring someone to dig everything up and start over.

you've got to stay on top of it baw. A few minutes every couple of days. Plus man, Pre-emergent. Use it! in the spring and about every month during the summer.

Call Tru-Green. They can spray flower beds and lawn for nut sedge. It works.

Well he's not my dentist any longer. It took 4 novacaine injections to finally numb me. I actually wanted to beat the shite out of him at one point.

After a few failed attempts to do the procedure after rounds and rounds of shots I basically had to tell him I'm not fricking around, if you can't get this to a point where I don't feel like I'm going to pass out, I'm getting the frick out of this chair.
He gave me more shots and I couldn't feel a thing. I get angry just thinking about it. I don't understand why it took so many attempts of basically torturing me to get this shite right.

It's actually pretty meditative. I'll weed for 15min after work and it puts me into a mellow, trance-like state.
