I saw these idiots lining the streets cutting trees that are completely grown into the powerlines, that doesn't look like they have been trimmed back in several years.
But now they have to cut my power to prevent limbs from taking out the lines in 30mph.
2 weeks ago they shut it off for 24 hours.

Yeah - this sucks big-time.
I'm used to power outages, having grown up in rural southern Louisiana in the 70s and 80s.
But losing power when the local weather is fine - sunny and cool outside is frustrating.

Who the hell pays $425 a month HOA fees?
That is fricking ludicrous.
What does that get you?

That's close to what we're dealing with
Posted on 10/25/19 at 6:55 pm to SuperSaint
Wtf. Your HOA fees are $5000 a year?
Posted on 10/25/19 at 6:55 pm to SuperSaint
Sounds like they need to fix their shite.

One of the cheapest in the area
Posted on 10/25/19 at 7:08 pm to SuperSaint
You pay 5 grand in HOA fees? Holy shite man.

This is nothing but a calculated ratcheting-down in standard-of-living.
Power lines don't start fires anyway, to any extent that matters. That's stupid.

Less and less over time.
I've started many unintentional fires in my long life. Not one of them was ever related to AC electricity. You really have to screw up bad to start a fire using AC, and shutting off the commercial electric grid is a terrible answer to that.

I’ll be in Palm Desert for Thanksgiving
Probably be back in the inland empire/LA area before the end of the year.
