SF was a completely different animal when I visited out here in the early 90s as a kid

I ran out of gas ones on the Benicia bridge during rush hour, I was probably the most hated person in the East Bay for a day

That driveway is rougher than a Lousiana road and the edging line looks like it was done by Ray Charles.

There is a little sports bar there I like, and a strip of restaurants down the hill that have a great view of the city at sundown

Didn’t know they hired Mexicans at the rub &tug, but I’m sure you made well. And at least you lived across the street from work.

The best part about the PG&E fiasco the media forgets to mention is the state of California prohibits PG&E from cutting the trees adjacent to the power lines because of the (baseless) state-mandated environmental rules, yet still holds the power company responsible for the wildfires, when routine vegetation management would eliminate any fire risk and the need for blackouts.

I didn’t know this for certain, but this morning me and the gF were heading out for work and I saw all the trucks lining the hwy trying to clean around the lines. I’ve noticed for a while now how trees are ALL over the power lines. I told the ol lady “damn If we let trees grow into lines like that, we would still be out of power from Katrina”

And shite like that is why you can get a 4 bedroom 2000+ sqft house in Louisiana for a mortgage that is less than rent in most parts of California.
