Of course, but not as many as I expected. The normal nimrods who hate New Orleans and never want to visit again show up to post in every New Orleans thread for some reason.
Nimrod?
Do you know the definition?

Think you were USN, mind looking at some knots on a board we have at the camp. The names are gone.

I'd love to see a colorized version of these pics.

They don't make buildings this ornate anymore.
Those two bare breasted statues are in the front of the Fireman's Fund insurance building on City Park Ave between Canal and the expressway...
I often stared at them as a kid..

That blog has some good stories. Levee blasting of 1927 and the lost Chinatown are very interesting.

If these were never demolished the Iberville Projects would have never existed

Hard to believe how great (and even "grand"), New Orleans once was. Between 1810 and 1890, it was always in the top 10 (population wise). In the 1830's, it was number 3.
It was also the first entry in the top 10 list not located in one of the original Thirteen Colonies.

"All I want for Christmas is a clean white school"
Seems like a reasonable request and not surprisingly still relevant.

Just saying. You defend the shithole at every turn. Blame tourist for walking around drunk at all hours and stepping 5 feet off of the piss Blvd and getting robbed and raped.
How about that couple who both got raped by that queer black that made the dude suck his dick after raping his gf. Great town you got there. Culture is great and they are such a blessing in our country
