They could easily deport half of Kenner.

Whats funny are those two women running for District 5 and Mayor of Kenner.

They don't have anything to run on besides 'KPD shouldn't be helping ICE'.

At least Walt Bennetti won't come in last this go around.

Fake news. I remember at one point the news reported it being only a few hundred(less than 500). Numbers getting manipulated somehow.
And that smaller number usually includes people already in lock-up that are re-designated as deportees. It's why ICE is so adamant about local LE giving them access to the jails.

I don’t believe those numbers… all the amigo crews who were working last year still here… no way not one of them got caught in the dragnet

ICE claiming that they captured the worst of the worst, when in reality they reclassified inmates that were already incarcerated.

What % of the arrest figures in the tweet were already incarcerated?

75%? That's going on the assumption that only 25% of those deported were listed in the arrests.

Bit of tongue in cheek there. But if they aren't bragging on the stat it probably means it isn't good.

You do understand that one does not have to be arrested to be deported right? They are not one and the same. Another swing and a miss for you.

One of the biggest things i see that has stayed strangely quiet is the amount of Asian's being deported and we are hearing nothing about it. Houston, MY, Nawlins and Minn they are the second most behind latinos.... not a word, no conflict, silence

Yeah....that's what the second part of my post was.

Do you know or you are just going to disagree with anything that is said?

I asked the question, why would I know? I'm not the ones making the claims of bullshite, I'm asking for support of those claims.

If the claim is they are misrepresenting the numbers by including those already in jail as part of their deportation numbers, what is the amount? Follow up would an inquiry into why someone would care because as I see it, shrinking our tax funded prison population of illegals is a good thing no matter what your opinion on Ice is, so I truly fail to see why someone would care or think that is really relevant.

They were not legally part of New Orleans to begin with.

I don’t know, but as I said, “usually.”

Are some of those being deported not taken into custody before? From how DHS reports if you self deport through DHS and turn yourself in you are taken into custody.

How are they deporting individuals without first arresting them?

Hard to believe they picked up that many in New Orleans and surrounding areas. If the number is true to start.

Probably includes self deporting numbers.
