Very sorry to hear about your dad. That's terrible.

As to the importance of this board, especially when it comes to storms and other pertinent information - the OT truly is invaluable. There's no other resource someone could use to get information out there quick. There's no bullshite algorithms to frick anything up, it's just post and go.

I get 95% of my news from this site. No lie.

Lost my Dad in 2014, chose to watch him live those 13 weeks rather than die. Not a day goes by...

I'm sorry to hear of your loss and thank you. It was bad here and horrible a little north of us but belongings can be replaced. Good people can't.

Sorry for your loss, Bawtato Chip. We almost lost a Buckeye and a Barner/plainsman/War Beagle. They rode it out and ended up like champs.

I was lucky, and ended up aboot 40 miles from dat eyeball.

TBH, I'd kinda like him to meet my Mom. She'd shut that juvenile a-hole down and make him question his manhood even further than he already does.

I honestly thought you were blaming a guy named Ian.

I haven't liked people named Andrew for 30 years, and will never like a Mike again. My sister went through Andrew's Northern eyewall, I was on the edge of Michael's Eastern eyewall. This one missed us, but this time Ian killed someone.

I'm honestly thinking of moving to New Mexico. (Did I mention my sister was in San Fran during the 89 quake?) Somewhere there is limited threat to natural disaster.

Our family has had enough.

tidbits of compassion and well wishes really did make a difference during a very difficult time.

They definitely did. Helped me immensely while it was headed for me. I couldn’t agree more. But, more importantly, I am so very sorry for what you and your family have endured. Just prayed for you.

Hey! Improving daily. It’s a slow process, but definitely getting a bit better every day. Thanks so much for asking!

I’m convinced the pressure drops in these storms have health and medical impacts on vulnerable population

Sorry to hear
