I'm at Ground Zero right now in Port Orange. (Just south of Daytona) Weakened Ian coming over in a few minutes. Feeder Bands blowing in all day and night, but as of 1:55 am, the power is still on! Geaux Tigers!

More than 6” in 6 hours at MCO and the rain is even picking up now. This band rotating in is extremely heavy rain.
3” per hour rate right now

Pretty bad in east Orlando right now. Winds seem as bad as Irma in 2017. Rain is relentless. My property never really floods (knock on wood) so not sure how bad it is exactly.

Maybe, I know we had FOX, AccuWheather, TeleMundo, and Weather Channel on board today. Lost track after that. The guy I was flying with did some interviews. Think he was on Cavuto this afternoon. I avoid the media like the plague.
Pretty sure Malkoff was on your flight. Heard y’all dropped a few hundred feet pretty quickly. The broll was just him being dramatic as usual. Wish y’all woulda tossed him out for the giggles and saved us all some time. Appreciate what you do

Keeps on pushing further and further east when it comes back into SC. GA residents looking to be in the clear

Taxpayers will ultimately pay for most of it

Woke up this am @3:45 to some good gusts, @ 4:30am the sound of the wind has changed. It’s hard to express, it could be because of a direction change, I don’t know? But it’s much more aggressive at the moment!

I know it’s not much, but hoping everyone going through this will have better weather during the aftermath of Ian compared to Laura.

I was gone most of the day yesterday so just checking in to see if we’ve heard from our posters from Florida. Thinking of all of you.

Checking in here from west Bradenton/Sarasota line. We made it through. Had some strong gusts mid day yesterday. Have big trees down around us but our block home felt like a fortress. I would have hated to be in those winds in a stick framed house.
Not sure if we have any roof damage but no water coming in. We have power thankfully but nothing else and my cell is barely getting a signal.
Hope everyone is OK. Neighbor texted yesterday and said we got a lot of gusts over 100 in our area. It was rocking pretty good from 2:00 yesterday till 7:00 last night. We didn’t have tv or internet and our cells barely worked so no idea where everything was
My pool was overflowing from 3:00 yesterday on to the evening.

Did it push through the state faster than expected overnight?

Wonder what the beaches near Punta Gorda will look like this morning.
