Not sure how far inland they are but still cannot think of a single reason they would have to stay put

Is Liz non-binary or something? What's this "they" stuff?

Why would he do that?
Helping in times of disaster is one of the few things the fedgov actually should do

So far it’s dry. If we get past the 3 am high tide we have a house to go back to. Fingers crossed and praying.

Unfortunately for places like Bonita Springs, they’ve still got a good onshore flow. So I’m sure surge continues there.

Unfortunately right in front of our house water builds up even on normal storms. Our front door is actually a porch maybe 18” above the sidewalk, but if it gets bad I’ll start filling trash bags with water in front of the door. Worked all day today so didn’t have time to go get sandbags unfortunately. Thankfully all flooring is tile.

Why would he do that? Exactly what objective would that advance for you if he doesn’t decline Fed help?

Fort Myers surge now 7.15 feet above normal tide level and still rising.

Ft Myers Beach or Ft Myers the Town? They are many miles apart.

Literally the first cone graphic the NHC ever released for Ian, and Cape Coral never left the cone.
