Once the cone of doom is in the Gulf the level of PTSD will be off the charts on this board including me. After the last two years it is more than we can collectively take.

It’s still not a bad idea to freeze some breast milk just in case.

Didn’t see this posted overnight. This was the 00z Euro. It went further south with landfall than it was on the 12z yesterday afternoon. Like Duke has said, none of the models are going to be accurate about a landfall location at this point, just looking for trends and consistency.

Steve Caprotta explained it well this morning said as it approaches the Gulf next week gonna be two area's of high pressure, the Texas High and The Atlantic High and a trough digging in from the northeast and said will the trough be strong enough to pull it basically northward like they are showing now. Said only thing that seems for certain is a storm somewhere in the Western Caribbean early next week.

With #98L likey taking a little time to develop I have to wonder if the new system already spinning in western Africa (in Mali) has a shot at the next name on the list. Ian follows Hermine. The "I" storm is the most retired in hurricane history. #justsayin

Gustav was one of the worst to hit Baton Rouge. Andrew was bad as well.

Or tweak the faucets, and get them ready to go, just in case.

Zeta I think.

Think it was Duke concerned about his new little one's hoard of frozen breast milk if the power was out longterm.
