This is a stupid question, but do you throw the pool furniture in the pool to keep it from flying around?

Not a stupid question. No, here in Florida we are typical high as shite on something so it has become a staple in our culture.

Was a PITA to deal with during Ida. Throwing out food people cooked and was giving away because of temperature or things like that while people were starving while heating up frozen meals

I'd rather eat a jambalaya with room temperature meat for a few hours instead of the frozen Mac n cheese they had

I should note that whether Ian comes ashore as category 4 hurricane
or a large category 3 after an eyewall cycle, avoiding a large and
destructive hurricane for Florida seems very unlikely, and residents
should heed the advice of local emergency management officials.

He's going to need a new pool screen job when it's over.

That’s a huge change in the forecast. Looks like it’ll move much faster out of Florida and toward the northeast.

Wondering the same thing. I know what mine looked like after Laura and there's no way I'm putting furniture in there

Yah throwing pool furniture in the pool to avoid flying projectiles is pretty normal in FL.

Bastard is taking on Tampa and Savannah. Indian spells don't work on Ian.

Yeah, we are really carefull about food temps. I have heard horror stories about the red cross serving soup all the time.

We do things like spaghetti & meatballs, hamburger steak and gravy with mashed potatoes and green beans, smoked chicken quarters with corn and green beans, smoked boston butt with baked beans and bread.

We also were donated a entire pallet of blue runner navy beans that we will serve with Conecuh sausage. It certainly wont be as good as what people in LA serve but it will be as good as some Alabama boys can make it.

Almost looks it is going in south of Naples into completely uninhabited Everglades. Tampa dodged the bullet again. But TWC won’t say that b/c hurricane season has been a ratings washout for them.
