Reminds me of Opal, rapid intensification followed by rapid weakening while approaching landfall.

That TVCN is the update. They look to have put it out early, maybe by mistake, I'm not sure. But that's significantly west of the morning update.

I mean...I don't think anyone wants to get hit by a hurricane. But I'm not rooting for it to hit anyone else either.

I had someone on the outer banks (kittyhawk area) explaining to me how hurricanes done really hit there.

Something out the continental shelf and inner bay.

Never bothered to check the validity. They have lived there 30+ years.

The didn't hit Mexico Bay either until Michael.

It's purely geographical.
