Ah, makes it easier to see how some in the ensemble are then irrelevant, but cool to see.
Imagine the lookbacks are cool to experience. See what was obvious, but missed.

Side note, we go to church in Bradenton. Really love this area.
Same here. Ana Marie down to Lido is some amazing uncrowded beaches. We plan to retire there.

Be safe y'all. My woman and I have a house north of Clearwater and are paying attention.

Well, that alone backs up satellite imagery.

Some great childhood memories of visiting my Grandmother at the southern tip of Ana Marie in the 70s, right next to the Rod and Reel pier. We always had the beech all to ourselves. Haven't been there is years since she passed in 89. But looking at Google the old house is still there, one of the few remaining that were built in the 50s. Looking at parking patterns, it looks to have a lot more non-local visitors than it did 30 years ago.

We found it by accident. Four years ago our flight diverted to Sarasota for a medical emergency. Couldn’t get another flight out for two days so we explored the area.
We just closed on a home on longboat. Terrible timing, but we have insurance and don’t plan on retiring for another 20 years.

Numerical weather prediction has gotten pretty fantastic in the 21st century but it's still never going to be perfect. It does a great big picture job. Getting down into the mesoscale is more difficult. They're usually good through a week but there's still major busts. The forecast for a frontal passage through the northeast busted spectacularly Tuesday evening despite outstanding model agreement of location and strength of 500 mb heights. I didn't get in trouble for "blowing" that forecast though. That's where good verification and post-event analysis covers your behind.

I need a rating on a Met.
Put our faith in Chris Hebert; dude know his stuff?
Ain't seen a pic of his hands yet so I don't know what kind of knuckles I am dealing with if I have to head to Texas to settle up.

My neighbor and I are teaming up to put on the hurricane shutters tomorrow.
I am in a rental house right now. My new home is being built down on Clark Road in Sarasota. No shutters here for this house.

Someone else will have to answer. I don't follow anyone online except for Levi because I simply don't care what they have to say.

It is why we came here from Georgia. Been vacationing here since the late 90's. We are both still working but we are going to slow down soon. Our plan was to buy in west Bradenton or down in Sarasota near the coast but after a couple of years of looking, we decided to move inland just a tad.

Madeira Beach checking in. Have shutters at the ready. Wife and 3 kids gets me more nervous about it than I should.

I used to go watch Aaron Hill play and have a few beers with him when he was a Dunedin Blue Jay.

The NHC has shifted landfal from S of you, to N of you, up by Crystal River. That leaves all of you coastal dwellers in a shitstorm, but it is steadily easing away from all of us.
