Screwing my commute home.

I just drove right by it headed north. There were two big trucks engulfed in flames.

North and south are now closed.
It's a box truck.

People still aren't over the game being cancelled?

It was a box truck and tanker truck. 110 north is confined to 2 lanes, but is open. South is still closed and likely will be for a while.

Must be Thursday. This city is just embarrassing sometimes.

To get where?

The accident is on I-110, north of where you would need to go. So far it doesn't seem to have affected the traffic coming into BR. As long as you are going south, you should be ok.

Just another day on the BR interstate.

...not so fast. I-10 Westbound closed at Whiskey Bay, not unusual for that to trigger a fubar on the other side due to rubberneckers and the collection of mental midgets that ply our roads daily. I make the Houston/BR traverse pretty often, just make it a routine to check Waze or Google maps when I stop at Billy's to see if I need to bail off to 190 when I get to Lafayette.
This isn't going to make for a fun trip to work-this town sucks and gets suckier (sic) by the day. If I didn't need to stay close to my Dad, I'd have already been outta here.

Northbound is Open with light delay(took maybe 3-4 min to rubber neck. Actually worth slowing down to see the Dupre tanker all burnt up as well as a cab of another 18willer).
yea I don't see the southbound lanes being cleared up in next couple hours. I hope it's cleared by 3pm.

. I-10 Westbound closed at Whiskey Bay,
Is it completely closed? DOTD just says:
quote:
I-10 westbound: Right lane blocked.
At Exit 127: LA 975 (7 miles east of the Henderson area). The right lane is blocked due to an accident.

Yeah, screw that. Driving my friend with cancer home I rather not take the chance of being stuck in a clusterfrick.
Think I'll hit 90 in Lafayette and go the long way.
