Showed up right at closing time on friday and they were ready to get the heck out of dodge.

Ot but when I was signing me and the finance manager were discussing credit scores and he told me a ton of there customers are in the 400s and were getting stuck with 17 to 20%. How the heck do buyers even think you can pay that off?

I'm pretty sure the Outback would handle that if you didn't mind having the rods come up all the way between the front seats. I don't think you could quite get 7 full feet behind the front seats even on the slant. (based on what I see with my 180 cm skis). I suspect a few minivans could handle that easily.

Go in and tell the dealership that you would "like to spend 30k on a car."

Then, prepare thy anus.

I would love to see this proven now. I have never bought a new car before but my next one may be bc of how high priced the used ones are.

By the time you factor in money saved on lower interest rate of new car, the vehicle being a couple years newer and no miles, you won't be saving much money if you plan to buy used.

It'll save quite a bit more than that. The only way to buy a car.

That hasn't been true for 20 years.

I agree. The incentives on a new car vs a used model a year older outweigh the 2k or 3k savings.

For example, my wife got a brand new car with 0% financing while the used model we looked at was 4k less but the loan was a 2.9% loan. So I basically would have paid the same amount for a new car in the long run

In that price range, Consumer Reports like these:

2015 Subaru Outback
2015 Subaru Legacy
2015 Honda Accord
2015 Chevy Impala
2015 Buick LaCrosse

Solid lineup to start with there.

The Sonata and the Chrysler 200 are my go-to for the intermediate car class rentals because they are much more comfortable and ergonomic than the poorly designed Ford Taurus and they look better than the Camry rentals.

I would not buy either one of them though, as I tend to keep cars for 7+ years. Chrysler and Hyundai both have a well documented history of making problematic cars. Their resale value suffers as a result.

Uh, pay the high arse note that that kind of rate would stick you with?

Go with a slightly used (2012) BMW 3 series, you could prob get one for 25-30k.

I have a 2010 toyota corolla and I fit all of my fishing equipment in it. I just lay down the back seat.
