I worked a long time in the restaurant industry

And have a lot of friends in Funroe that still work in it. Lots of them stressing because they live day by day as far as money goes so don’t know how the bills will get paid.
shite on em if ya want but at least they’re working. Or should I say were working. Servers, cooks, dishwashers. Gonna effect them all.
We can’t just shut the damned economy down even if people die. Even if the hospitals can’t handle it. Build tent cities. Isolate the elderly. Deal with it. So frustrating how things are going.

I am dealing with it, I don’t work in that industry anymore. But shite there’s lots that do. Yeah stuff is happening beyond our control....like a pandemic. Let it roll through and quit trying to control it

I hate that for them. We try and do Friday night dinners with our son when possible, so I definitely will still do that for places I find that deliver. I feel very blessed to have a stable job with good income right now.

Sysco is already out of essential to-go item wares. Once the news hit, reps started getting orders like crazy.

I was at Sysco today picking up Togo boxes for my restaurant. Some guys from Dragos picking up 100 cases of Togo boxes along with a crapload of other stuff

My son is in college and does DoorDash for walking around money.
He would probably be making Pablo Escobar money the next few weeks but he was sent back home here where there is no DoorDash.

Does China and S Korea stay locked down indefinitely? If not the virus will pop back up and they will be back at square one with an outbreak. There’s no vaccine yet and nobody is immune so we are all in the same boat. Either you stay locked down or you let the virus run it’s course, neither is a good answer but at least one still has an economy.

Their number of new cases have gone down drastically since their quarantines. It’s the right move across the board. May not be the right move for your finances personally, but across the board it is the correct move. This is precisely why financial planners suggest three months of expenses in an emergency fund.
