I was in Houston recently and was in traffic(go fukin figure) and someone 2 cars up threw a fast food cup and ice on the side of the road, and for a brief second I imagined grabbing my gun.

I watched someone throw trash out their window (driving a piece of shite car of course), and then proceed to turn into a grocery store parking lot. The littering itself is annoying, but it enraged me to no end that they could have waited 2 more seconds and thrown it away in a trash can at the store. Unbelievable. Nearly turned around and slashed their tires.
By the same token, there's always some a-hole that dumps their fast food scraps in my trash at the curb when the trash guys leave my lid open. Because of course they can't wait 2 seconds to get home and throw it in their own damn trash . Even though it's in my can, it still pisses me off because their ketchup and whatever other disgusting shite bakes in the sun and makes my can smell like shite.

Littering is akin to not returning your cart at the grocery store. It identifies to the rest of us what a self-important piece of shite you are.
Much worse and trashier, IMO

I remember when I started driving, I would pull up to a stop sign or red light and stop. Looking out the window and down you could see six to eight inches deep of cigarette butts and ashes piled against the curb. Apparently people used the “stopped” opportunity to empty their vehicle ashtrays right there on the side of the road.

I’m not leaving my vehicle with kids inside just I satisfy people who are OCD about returning the cart when stores literally have employees whose job it is to go get them and bring them back.
You suck.
It’s possible to be a decent person and do the simple task of returning the damn cart while also not leaving your kids/keeping them safe. There are several ways. Quit being lazy.
Source: have young kids, carts are always returned.

My in-laws live just outside Harris county. Their neighborhood has been pristine ever since they moved in. A year ago they decided to extend the road that leads to the entrance of their neighborhood into another that resides inside Harris county. There are a lot of basketball Americans in this previously somewhat segregated area. Well now the road is completely trashed. They have crews out there constantly picking up trash, but it’s no use. I’ve seen them throwing garbage bags out filled with trash.

I wish cameras and fines existed for lazy fricks who don’t return their shopping baskets to the basket collection spots!

My experience has been the complete opposite in Colorado.
Western states for the most part are so much less trashy than the southeast.
The side of the highway was littered with trash.

Road side litter is one of those things that brings out the ranting old man in me.
We live in a truly gorgeous area still wild and undeveloped. I get viscerally angry at the trash I see on the sides of the highway. And I know most of it isn’t inadvertent shite flying from back of trucks (which is also inexcusable but I get it happens to the best of us occasionally).
I once saw two methtards simultaneously toss styrofoam cups out of their methmobile once not far from our road. I tried to get their plates but they sped off like the bitch cowards they are when they saw me.
People toss entire bags of trash, tires etc when there’s a trash facility just a couple miles up the road. I think this should be a felony. If you’re inclined to do this shite intentionally and repeatedly then you’re a sociopath who needs to be removed from society.

I love living in lower Alabama but the number of mattresses on the side on the road is beyond trashy (also sad because most are in better shape than the one I sleep on).

Funny, when the Yankee Snowbirds come down in the Winter, there is always more trash. And these people have money. Is it a cross between ignorance and entitlement?

Don’t give a monetary fine. Sentence the offender to picking up #lbs of litter.

They do and Nungessor is all over with this with Keep Louisiana Beautiful. Regardless of what you think about him, he’s knocking this out the park. Call his office and have him come to your next meeting. He will do a presentation on his anti litter efforts.

Nothing worse than a litter bug and a thief.
