I had a 2009 Lucerne. Best car I ever owned
First car was a 1997 Park Ave. I have a soft spot for Buicks

For a higher end brand, they sure do mail it in on the commercials.

IIRC you can thank Tiger Woods for that. In the 90's there was talk that GM was going to drop Buick from their portfolio. It just so happened that Buick signed Tiger to endorse their vehicles and Buicks became a hot commodity in China.
Someone can correct me if I'm missing something from the story or if I completely misremember that whole ordeal.

I had a regal gs 3.8 supercharged
power to weight ratio made most everything look stupid as the 4 door pulled their azz.....the car was fluid on the interstate...couldn't wash the ugly off of it short term ownership but was a really nice car extremely comfortable.

My dad drove Buicks. LeSabre's or Park Avenue's. Though Buick's were not my thing, I can't recall that he ever had a problem with any of them.

There are many reasons not to buy a buick.

they still make them?
IMO they should have gotten rid of Buick and kept Oldsmobile

Aren't they considered one of the most reliable brands on the market?

Get off my lawn and don't go near my Buick with that skateboard, punk.

Yes.
And Buick buyers are more likely to pay cash and more likely to be repeat buyers from the same dealer than most other brands.

I will say the 1990s Buick lesabres must be some type of reliable car because I still see a shite ton of them on the roads

Heard the Buick Enclave is one of the best, most comfortable driving vehicles on the market.
Buick has always put out a quality car with a comfortable ride. I think the name hurts them more than anything because the younger generations hear names like Buick, Lincoln, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Mercury etc they automatically think "old people cars" even though they stopped making the rear wheel driven land yachts mid 2000s.
It's why they've struggled and some have been discontinued

My parents had a 2011 LaCrosse until very recently. They never had any trouble with it.
I could never get over how fast, quiet and smooth the larger Buick’s are. They may be the GOAT highway car for that reason.

Very true.

Also true, although I am in my 30s and I would drive the Regal GS in a heartbeat. I like the turbocharged TourX wagon too.
Maybe I just like old people cars.

All the American brands used to be that way. Lincoln town cars were ridiculous comfortable. It would make you car sick like a mofo. My grandparents had a Mercury grand marquis and I couldn't ride in the back as a kid or i would get sick
