I don’t understand how people become so disturbed and evil that they kill and rape women and girls. Does Satan possess these individuals ? The Brain must be really be dysfunctional for people to get excited about raping kids. I don’t know how it happens but I’m glad we can put these evil breathers to death.

Why waste a perfectly good bullet when there’s other options like baseball bats, tire irons, claw hammers, etc.?

this is why a lot of people do not tell/report it. Having to relive it again is incredibly difficult.

Yeah the defense went down this path. Was suggesting it sure was interesting timing for this to come out now considering it happened 5+ years ago. And once we all got to the jury room, we were like yeahhhhhhh no I’m not gonna hold that against a little girl who was threatened with a gun pointed at her head.

He’s no use to himself or anyone else. Now he’s going to live off our tax dollars for a long time. Society would be better off if his kind were put down.

Very similar to the case I served on, but we had one holdout.

Oh man. That’s horrible. I am glad you fulfilled your civic duty as a member of our society and put them behind bars. I cannot imagine what you heard. I would say a prayer before bed tonight. There was a reason God put you in that court room maybe you will understand more later in life maybe. Tough stuff.

I kinda think that’s why I made a thread about it. This is gonna stay in my head probably forever

I was on the jury this time last year for a POS molesting his 3 granddaughters. The testimony was tough, the process was interesting. I rest easy knowing that piece of shite will never be a free man ever again - double life sentence, no parole - max we could give him; and that his granddaughters will never fear that he'll show back up in their lives.

Jesus. I just got my summons.

I’ll lose my shite if I have to sit through that. I might end up getting convicted.

God is definitely love in this world and he can turn every bad thing into good but that is terrible to endure for all involved

All I can offer is my prayers for that child and you. And as much as people will hate this I’ll pray for the sinner because they were intended to be children of God too.

That was your first mistake - causing tax dollars to provide for his life until he dies naturally or is shanked from within.

ETA. Judge probably handled the sentence - should have been death. Not your mistake.

I'm showing my ignorance here but should there be an argument that the rape of a very young child (by a sexually mature man) amounts to a life endangering crime (attempted murder because of hemorrhage)?

That would seem like justification for capital punishment provided physical evidence was provided.

Basically just tried to discredit the girl’s story but she was very believable.

The defendant did not take the stand on his own behalf which we were of course informed is not an admission of guilt because they have the right to not self-incriminate. But whether we said it out loud or not, I can guarantee that weighed on all of us jurors. The defense called no witnesses.

Just sent this to the defense attorney.

We're getting a new trial, Boys!!!

I swear. Some people just cannot keep their mouth shut.

I got called a few months ago, sat for selection. It was a "he said, she said" domestic violence trial and I wanted no part of it. I was fortunately the first name eliminated.

Where was this?

Had a jury summons last week for similar case in Houston. Didn’t get selected and I was pretty relieved.

Well, the good news for him is that he’s not going to live a long life once he gets to prison and the inmates find out that he raped his own child.
