He had no emotion. We had come back in the courtroom like an hour earlier to ask the Judge about some questions re 2nd degree murder and manslaughter so figured his lawyers prepped him for the worst.

Our choices were 2nd degree which was life with no parole, manslaughter which was up to 40, or acquit. We were 11/12 for at least manslaughter from the first vote and at the end it was 10 for 2nd and 2 for manslaughter. No one wanted to see another trial so we all switched to manslaughter.
