That's a funny story.
I think I've had mine 25(?)years. Can't even guess how many time it has been washed, sometimes in water I wouldn't even drink from. The string strap is beginning to fray a bit and maybe a little faded, but it is still comfortable does everything they said it would do.

I kind of want one of those for golf, but I kinda think they only look reasonable on those ages 12-25 and 50 and up.

Third group, people who don’t want a white forehead and red cheeks.

How do you folks find out about this amazingly overpriced shite?

I first heard about Tilley hats from my dad. He found one floating in the middle of a lake covered in all kinds of green shite, but he apparently knew what it was worth. He took it home, ran it thru the washing machine and it came out looking brand fricking new. I don't see a $15 boony hat from Academy surviving that well.

Thanks, I ordered the Propper one.

The Tilley looks really good, I may yet purchase one of those.
And I really liked the grey LSU one.

Thanks for your suggestions, fellows

I have a heavier fabric green Magellan that I have worn for around 7 years. Tough as nails but a bit hot.
