Anyone have any good link suggestions?

I’ve looked around any haven’t seen one that particularly inspires me.

Either a standard Marine type or a cool looking LSU one. Maybe both if they’re good enough.

Do a search on Tilley Hats. I've had one for years and its been around the world with me in all kinds of environments. I think it is even guaranteed for life.

Just to ride a pony
Poured some gumbo in his hat
And called it a good bony

I picked up an OR Seattle sombrero at REI in Washington last month on vacation and wore it every day for three weeks. It’s sturdy, comfortable, lightweight and looks good

I kind of want one of those for golf, but I kinda think they only look reasonable on those ages 12-25 and 50 and up.

I fall into the second category, sir.
No reason for you to disparage geriatrics!

I probably have quite a few boonies from my time in the Marines. Id have to look sometime, but I'd send one if I found one. Probably all in the attic.

Google search is bringing up different patterns from $19-30.

Lost all my leftover gear from the Seabees in the hurricane.
And just recently decided I wanted one again.

Let me look for ya. Don't know if I'll get around to it today, but like I said, I'd hook ya up if need be. Make sure when looking it has small EGA on it, if not, it's not legit, but not that it's super important, but don't want you to pay too much if you do look.

All that. It’s important to note that Tilley hats are rated at 50 UPF. (UPF is to fabrics as SPF is to sunscreen).

They are expensive. When I bought mine about 5 years ago at REI, almost all the boonie-type hats were $18-25. The Tilley set me back $80. You get what you pay for.

There was a funny testimonial on the hat tag from an Australian zookeeper. He said his hat had been eaten, and passed, three times by one of his elephants, and he still wears it, and it still looks and performs great.
