I know they are not for everyone but I prefer 5"-7" length--I'm also taller and legs are pretty toned, unlike the rest of my body

I just bought a pair today. Why? Because there are cargos and there are uber-whiteboy Docker-style shorts and pretty much nothing else. You wear what's offered or go naked.
The choices for menswear these days are atrocious all the way around. You want clothes that are any color but black, tan or gray and you're shite out of luck. Clothing manufacturers have made a pact to keep it bland and ugly, make that all there is available, and nobody has to work too hard.

Cargo shorts are in the eyes of the beholder. Do you care what people think? People who do not wear what they want and cargo shorts are still available in stores so there must be a demand for them. I don't wear them anymore, but I don't give a shite what other people wear.

AFTCO offshore fishing shorts. Goat multi pocket shorts good for all occasions onshore and off.
I think those long threadbare khaki cargo shorts look ridiculous but I could not care less if another man chooses to wear them.
