I guess it’s not anymore.

To St George it goes.

I’m on standby for the GC melt.

Originally it was thought Amazon had plans to develop the Cortana Mall. A source told WAFB, Amazon plans to build the distribution center in south Baton Rouge and continue moving forward with its plans to develop the Cortana Mall into another distribution center.

Stephanie Riegel with the Daily Report told WAFB she believes Amazon would operate a smaller, regional distribution center in South Baton Rouge that would complement a larger, state-wide center at the Cortana Mall.

Just so I'm understanding... Amazon noped out of taking over the shitty mall in BR in favor of building in StG?

I’d love to get a part time gig there flying delivery drones.

If it happens, my guess is the smaller one is the local distribution center with the vans and Cortana will be a regional one.

So what is amazon going to do when they find out about the Baton Rouge traffic? if this is going to be a distribution hub, it needs a good reliable airport and connection to it. Well that i-110 to i-10 to i-12 corridor is Russian roulette with traffic. Will they be able to strong arm LADOTD and the city of BR, Central, and surrounding areas to finally get a loop and streamline transportation routes?

I'm willing to bet their "Flex" delivery service helped to justify a local center in S. BR

Flex is an on-demand delivery service where drivers can earn money delivering amazon shipments in the private vehicles. Uber Delivery essentailly

Ok then. What are the odds amazon follows up with Cortana mall? Or just say F it, we have everything we need right here off Siegen?
