I can definitely see this

Take charge bro and have her cut some of that crap out. She’ll thank you as soon as her stress levels go down.

There is a fine line with volunteering. One can easily get overextended.

No problem, I am kind of getting tired of her anyway.

Maybe try talking to her about this to her instead of the OT?

There are some deeper issues. Definitely have communication issues.

It seems as thought she’s just not into you nor does she respect you.

I mean, if she enjoys doing those things I want her to do them. I just don’t want her to bitch about the side effects and to clean up her messes. She doesn’t even have to work. She chooses to be stressed.

Simple, she doesn't want to be around you and wants you to do more work around the house.

Ame, Pecker. He needs to assert his dominance. Seems like he’s her whipping boy right now. What do you suggest? Flirting with a couple OT 6s in front of her? Maybe getting in the gym and losing a few lbs?

Sitting her down and bitching to her about it is the #1 thing I Don’t recommend.

I don’t think flirting with other people is a positive thing in relationships, from either side. Jealousy won’t fix it. It’s a respect issue. Taking care of yourself helps for sure. It builds confidence, as does going out with friends and taking on new hobbies (challenging ones). It’s about building a piece of life separate from your spouse. There’s confidence and independence to be found in that, and women will respect it. You don’t do it for them, you do it for you but they’ll see it. And other women will see it to.

She used to be fun but now she doesn’t really want to go anywhere or do anything that doesn’t involve one of her volunteer projects

Tell her you're going to volunteer your cocknballs to another lady in need.

That’s fine

I do plenty. She isn’t pulling her weight at this point. Like right now, I’m doing laundry while she’s in bed watching Netflix. That’s fine. Most of the laundry is hers but whatever. She has papers and pictures all over the dining room table. She put them there. If I move them, it will surely be to the wrong place. Tomorrow when she gets home she will bitch about the mess on the table Like, it’s almost comical how ridiculous she has become.

Ouch.

She's trying to overcompensate for something (it may be something as simple as trying to live up to what she imagines she should be). She may not even realize what she's doing.

If it's bad enough that you're posting it here you may want to think about talking to a counselor.

What has she had to say about all this?

Some people can't say no and need to be seen as a martyr. Sounds like she's vying for "Saint Mommy of the Year" in the eyes of her peers.

yeah, “talking” to her isn’t going to help. She doesn’t respect you so she’s just going to see it as you bitching.

It’s tough to come to grips with but if she respected you she’d take to heart your opinions on things. She knows she’s making you do bitch work around the house. She knows she’s ignoring you and she doesn’t care because wtf are you going to do about it? You’re not going anywhere.

Not much really.

I’m not even that upset about our relationship. We don’t fight. We don’t hang out as much as we used to but we have different interests. I just want her to stop being a slob and bitching about things that she has full control over.

The kids have even started to look at me like WTF when she’s complaining about stuff she has done

If I make a mess, I clean it up.
If I voluntarily do something I enjoy, I don’t bitch about it.
If it’s 10:00 at night and I’m tired and nothing needs to be done, I go to sleep.
