I think my wife is being selfish

She has been spending many extra hours working at home. Nobody else at her place of work brings as much home. Volunteers for everything (kids school, church, etc) while bitching about how tired and stressed she is because of it. Creates a huge mess with projects, shrapnel everywhere from her shopping adventures, all of her fricking clothes everywhere...and then has the audacity to bitch about the house being in shambles. She’s a good mom, but most days I end up taking the kids to school and picking them up in the afternoon. She used to be fun but now she doesn’t really want to go anywhere or do anything that doesn’t involve one of her volunteer projects or work or church. What the deal is?

I know you jest but it’s a serious question to ask why she doesn’t want to spend more time with you. That keeps a marriage alive. Y’all need to have a talk about priorities.

That’s possible. But I’m not bitching about not getting attention or affection or whatever...I just want her to do her job as a member of this household. She hasn’t always been this way. Started about 2 years ago and has progressively gotten worse.

She doesn’t respect that you have options. Takes you for granted. Just assumes that she can get in her own bubble and that you’ll be there when she gets out.
We all go through phases like that but they’re usually short and we snap out of it. She doesn’t really give af about you right now.

You have to have a sit down with her bro. Tell her your side of it. Ask her why does she volunteer for everything and all she wants to do is work, volunteer and go to church. Tell her you want to get out and be more social and have fun, let yall hair down..
Really, that's the first step. From there it depends on her response.
Also, i will tell her to leave my house earlier. She comes over on Tuesday & Thursdays. I'll make sure she picks the kids up this week.
