I think I got the 'rona

Haven't been able to smell or taste anything since sometime Friday afternoon. Nose is sort of stopped up but not terribly (can still breathe through it). Random dry cough but nothing that is nagging or persistent.. very minor chest pains occasionally. RIP. I heard I might not be able to smell or taste for a whole fricking week. Sucks arse... work is about to get super busy (have been at home working) and can't even enjoy my weekend.

Call your provider or urgent care and ask what the process is for getting tested.
If you do have it, follow guidance from your provider for when you are ok to go out in public around others again.
Usually that is 10 days after a positive test and you have been free of symptoms for at least 72 hours. But again...follow guidance from your provider.

I'm 32... I feel crappy but not incapacitated. I don't think it makes a lot of young people completely useless? I'm still going to work all this week.. it's going to be insanely busy. I've also been reading the smell/taste thing is happening to a lot of people that are truly asymptomatic to the virus. I mean these are symptoms but I don't really have a fever (I think) or terrible breathing issues. In fact if I could taste and smell shite I'd be great... it would just feel like a little cold or something. Maybe someone who knows more about this can elaborate on my behalf.

It really has been kinda random. Some young people barely sick...some get pretty sick. Maybe not sick enough to be hospitalized...but sick enough to be pretty miserable.
FYI...the test seems scary but it isn't painful. It is unpleasant that is for sure...but fairly quick. Just know they have to leave the swab in your nose for several seconds before they swirl it around and that feels like eternity. Your nose will feel like you got water up your nose while swimming for about 30 minutes after the test and then you are fine.

I don't really see the point in testing myself.. I just am going to isolate myself to not spread anything. Was going to adopt a pet Monday/Tuesday but looks like I won't be doing that now. Someone is fostering and taking them to a shelter and I was going to get a bunch of crap this weekend to be ready. Oh well.
The only reason I see to test is to get a potential negative so I wouldn't have to isolate myself, but I'm working from home anyway. And if I can't taste or smell shite I'm certainly not going out to hang out with friends at the bar/etc.
