Sounds like it does an accurate job showing what a cops job is actually like. Most of the time you are just patrolling and telling drunk people to go home.

When it first started they had some hot female cops. They really should have stuck with that model

Livepd seems gimmicky. Like they try and over dramatize everything to make it seem exciting.

I love Live PD, but it isn’t all “live”.
Often, when it says “recorded earlier”, the “earlier” would have been a few weeks back.

I’m curious how LivePD can broadcast someone on tv without getting their consent through a release. That’s how COPS operates. In fact, it’s not unusual for people on LivePD to question the presence of cameras and object to being filmed.

The police usually tell them to ignore the camera or don’t worry about it. Try telling that to an officer who tells you to stop filming them.

If someone asserts their rights or questions the police during a stop, the guys in the studio usually make negative comments about the suspect and how they think they are lawyers, etc.

Both shows are entertaining and informative.
