Pretty elated about this. Is this good or impressive? I don't see anyone squat more than 225 at golds gym

That's awesome man. Just make sure your form is good. Little dips in form can turn into lingering injuries when you start getting way up there in weight.

That's good but you'd be better off losing 200lbs and squatting 205 because being 405 is unhealthy even if you can do a squat.

Yeah, squatting 405 is good. You're a good bit stronger than most of the population.

Now start working toward 495.

Pretty impressive. Most casual gym goers won’t squat above 315. If you aren’t using gear it’s even more impressive. Just make sure it’s not fricking your back up. I herniated a lumbar disk from trying to squat 550 lbs last year. I haven’t squatted since due to the fear of re-injuring myself. Lower back pain will drain all of your energy instantly.

can you imagine spotting a guy at the gym who maxes 400+ and the dude then turns around and says "thanks guy, i'm super elated i was able to hit that".

yes, 405 is impressive. that's a lot of weight. especially if you're over 30-35
