These two guys represent all cops now? Should I assume all Michigan fans share your keen intellect?

This is why all warrants should be no-knock warrants. The citizens and police wouldn't have time for this kind of misunderstanding if they just busted in and handcuffed everyone and sorted it out afterwards. It would be safer for everyone.
Chad literally said this is how it should go earlier and he wasn't trolling

I feel like some of yall are just completely ignoring that Patrick looks a lot like Michael.
Get the frick out of here. They look alike?
Those two guys look alike to you? I'm as white as they come and I can tell they're not the same person.

not saying that just because they're black
Yes you are.

You couldn't get the best film makers in the universe to make a better video showing you why cops are just plain bad people. Yet some how people still justify everything cops do.

Can we also point out that the first thing he says when he's asked his name is "Why ya askin that?" And he followed that up with a long "OK." So he was uncooperative from the start.
and?

but he said Patrick like two seconds later. and then the cop says arrest him.

1. The way he answered was really a question, appeared to possibly be making up the name.
but he wasn't. And all they needed was ID.
quote:
2. He continued by mentioning a parole officer, so clearly he's under probation, it's possible the guy with the warrant was as well.
he said he just came back from seeing his probation officer, which means he knows he does not have any warrants. Again, just ask him for his ID.
quote:
3. He failed to obey lawful orders from that point forward and resisted.
Because he requested to see the warrant from cops who just barged into his front yard accusing him of having warrants.
quote:
Was the warrant for a violent act? Was he at the residence of the person who had the warrant on them? Why did he feel a need to become combative rather than answer directly and provide ID? Is it really that hard to fathom that once you've been misidentified that you should comply as peaceably as possible until you can show you are not who they wanted?
It doesn't matter, at all. Literally just needed to ask the kid for his ID, even while sitting in the car.
quote:
Turning around and letting the officers retrieve the ID would have prevented every bit of that
it may not have been on him. Hence him saying to call my PO.
quote:
Regardless of him being on probation, of being possibly at the right perps house or being misidentified with similar features.
I hate to be redundant....but all they had to do was provide the warrant as well as ask him for his ID.
Simple.

Those cops needs to turn in their badge. You are biased if you think different after watching the video

Guess you didn't notice the fricking video is edited did you?
His report is not edited though. And you can tell he knows he messed up by his comments afterwards.
Oh well. I am just glad he actually didn't reach for anything and is still alive.

quote:i literally said only the guy they thought was the suspect. they didn't go after the other guy standing outside car. this isn't difficult to comply with an officer wanting to make sure a situation is safe for everyone involved. but you think its totally acceptable to let a person go back in vehicle to possibly retrieve and retaliate.

So he answered what his name was truthfully, but the tone was wrong...
Because people being arrested never lie about their ID.
The Utopia in some of yalls heads about how shite works is cute and funny.

Assumption. And He mentions him when he says call them and requests to see the warrant, which the cops are obligated to show him if they truly believe he is Michael.
Again, was the warrant for a felony and a violent act? If so, secure the subject and scene then provide all that is necessary. Instead, the guy appeared to be making up a name and failed to follow orders and let the cops know that he was on probation for other crimes.
quote:
I am out of this thread. This is absurd. Patrick should face absolutely no charges and should get an apology. The cop should be reprimanded on his official record
He should face obstruction, and resisting. He wouldn't have faced ANY if he had simply not been... you aint tellin me what to do. Much like nearly every fricking single incident nowadays.

So over 10 seconds after he asked? And then he gets back in the car after he stood up. He isn't cooperating at all.

lets be clear, cops asked for him to get out of car, he did,
cops asked for him to put hands on top of car, he refused and retreated.
